		<description>Yes, cultural intelligence is a positive 21st Century career marker for those who plan to survive and thrive. I have lived it ( good, bad and indifferent) these past 14 years in the Asia-Pacific region and, at least in my experience, the most adept "cultural communicators" are those who have spent time and curiosity in foreign lands.

However, employees are not fooled by "diversity" sloganeering where some corps appear to be doing so for primarily marketing reasons or to ward off the threat of lawsuits.

Bottom line (all in IMHO), corps who define success as only about profits and growth will dilute the potential for "cultural intelligence" to help them navigate whatever political, economic and environmental rapids await the globalization juggernaut in the coming years.
